Fireside

The term "Fireside" was coined by "Abdu'l-Baha" (The son of the Manifestation -"Baha'u'llah"). As he traveled throughout the United States in 1912 giving lectures in a variety of settings. Often when he was at the home of a believer they would gather before a fireplace. He said Baha'is should call these teaching sessions about the faith "Firesides". In these informal meetings the basic principles of the Baha'i faith are introduced along with its vital relationship to the worlds older faiths.
